Happy..Sad..Happy

17.10.11

These may be my last few pictures of this man crawling. He is getting stronger and is now spending more time on his feet than on his hands and knees. It is funny how you look forward to something so eagerly, and then when it comes you almost wish you could turn the clock back. It is an odd mixture of feeling devastated yet thrilled at the same time. With his last few shuffles on the ground I know I am witnessing the departure of an era in our lives.
Trust me though.. this boy is heavy. He NEEDS to walk!

What is even better than the thought of me not having to carry Houston around? The faces he makes while he walks...

Please excuse my messy shirt.. I drool A LOT!

As he steadies his feet I am praying that I will be able steady my emotions and find joy in this new season of life for our family!

Get ready friends.. I am going to take on some crafty things this week. I will be sure to share them with you (if they are not epic failures.. Okay, maybe even if they are..)!

See, this girl is crafty. I really have no idea where she got it from.

Hope you all had a great weekend! I shall leave you today with a few more pictures of my kids and their messy faces.

Gimme that donut!

Seriously, that looks so good!

She is such a good big sister..

  2. Oh my goodness, Brandy! I can totally relate to the happy/sad tug-of-war you're going through! I remember almost wishing away every stage when Olivia was a baby! I have been so aware of that with Judah, trying NOT to rush into anything with him. He'll walk when he wants to, and yes, like Houston, he's totally SOLID, but I'd carry him forever if I could (though having 2 is much easier than 3 I've heard). Such sweet pictures! Praying for your heart and all the changes to come in this next season for your family! xo
