"a portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

An evening out at my in-laws.. I'm so thankful we have a place to go to in the country. I love everything about it. Wide open spaces, room to run, unhindered views of the sunset. Everything about it is perfect.. Perhaps Houston didn't quite agree at the moment, however.

I had not pointed my camera in the direction of my children once this week. I am committed to following through with this project though, so an hour ago I grabbed my camera, stuck my kids in front of it, and told them to put their hands up. Mission complete.

My boy turned 5 yesterday. It hardly seems possible. I'm so proud of the tender-hearted boy he is. Like his 4th birthday, his gifts were all about football. We gave him tickets to an Eskimos game. Such a faithful fan even though they are 3-10 this season. I am certain he will go to the game and buy another jersey with his birthday money. He will then wear it proudly cause thats how he is.. His sweet sweet heart...
